Complainers don’t get much respect. Neither do gossipers. People who are humble and kind get lots of respect. If you do the same hard work you expect of others, you will earn their respect. When we’re part of the problem, instead of part of the solution, we lose respect. When we accept people the way they are, not how we want them to be, we gain respect. If we have a problem with some person and we deal with them publicly we lose respect. Most people are good – so expect that from them. Don’t skimp on personal things, be generous. This is all difficult stuff, but it is possible to turn the tables on respect!
