Everyone is concerned with the physical health of loved ones. The damage from this virus can be equally damaging to our mental health. I’ve picked up a few pointers from mental health writers and can share a few here. First, give yourself a break for how you are feeling. It’s understandable to be melancholy at times like this. Stay active physically and mentally each day. It would be easy to just roll over in bed and stay there all day. Each evening, set your goals for the next day and wake up at normal times and start on your “to-do” list – it will give you a purpose. Connect with those we love, and especially those who need our help. Get outside and get some fresh air. Walk to places that fill your mind with beauty. Serve at soup kitchens – it will give you humility. Hope in the future and never lose the faith that God will get us through this.
