Difficult times can create a personal energy shortfall. How do you replenish that? Some turn to drugs or alcohol, which most often makes matters worse. They’re often like taking a sleeping pill. So we need to remember to not expend all our emotional and physical energy during the day. We weren’t meant to stretch our physical and emotional limits in any given day. We need rest – that’s why God allows nigh time. We also need to be able to tell when we’re about to run low. What are some things we can do? Don’t schedule that late afternoon appointment on top of all the others for the day. Schedule yourself for a quiet time before retiring for the night so you mind can rest before laying your head on the pillow. Be around people who lift you up rather than demand more from you. Be around people you trust and get rid of those you can’t. Keep a positive attitude about the situations you find yourselves in. Too often we make a mountain out of a mole hill.
