God is the example. He first loved us. What we need to do is follow His example. We need to love others first. God created them whole and blessed. Maybe they are presently not perfect,. but neither are we. We have to be who God created – not defensive or fake. We can’t promote a false image of us. Nobody can love such a person. Jesus lay down on the cross voluntarily. Defenseless as God wanted Him. God redeemed Him on the third day. Why not take your bad feelings and for three days, follow such disciplines as fasting from something each day, praying each day, being in His Word each day. If you approach God in this way, God will meet you there and will redeem your spirit and renew love for yourself and others.
