Where did that thought come from?

Our minds are bombarded by both external and internal stimuli. Was that an emotion or a reasoned conclusion based on facts? It’s important to know the difference. Past hurts can affect our thought process. We can be deceived by thoughts of a past void of nourishment of love from another who is or was important to us. We stubbornly hold on to bitterness which places a barrier in front of correct thinking. We need to “set our minds on things above” as Paul exhorts us. So we need to explore our feelings and consider their root cause. Only then can we ponder anew a reasoned course of action.
