Don’t Be a Doormat

The apostle Peter taught us that God gives grace to the humble, and we know that grace has power. Relationships have ups and downs, as we all know. They involve forgiveness and sacrifice. In such cases, it’s not easy to exhibit humility. It’s what God wants from us, His Creation, however. But it doesn’t mean we have to be a doormat, being constantly stepped on by the other. If they are destructive we need to separate ourselves from them and let God be the teacher and judge of them – after all, they are His creation, too, and He will forgive and correct until the final judgement.
