That’s because you’re a child of God! Pretty cool, huh? Now we just need to act like it! Easier said than done – right? If you have asked Jesus to take the control of your life, then you have His Spirit, The Comforter, to aid in this. The first thing we need to do is acknowledge that it is all a gift of God through His grace….and grace has the power to transform. We can seek more of the fruit of the Spirit – the inner character of Jesus. Our goal should always be to come closer to grasping love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. When I think of these qualities, I realize how far I have to go. No better time to start than the present! I think I’ll start with the last fruit mentioned – self control. Only in that way can I totally give up trying to run my own kingdom.
