The Sabbath was not made for us. It’s not a day for us to just take it easy. God made it for Himself. He is a jealous and He wants us to spend time with Him – not only that day but every day. We are His children and He is our Father. More than that, he is our Creator and we need to make quality time to be with Him. His Word is there to teach us and He is only a prayer away from speaking to us. The other benefit is that Satan hates it when we spend time with God.
