Are you experiencing feelings of worthlessness? It usually leads to sinning more, because we figure that, since we’re so bad anyway, what’s another sin? God will not follow you around trying to stop your next sin. He gives us total freedom to do that all by ourselves. He will be patient for awhile. Not for long periods of time, though. He will get our attention, often in the most unpleasant ways. Is that really what we want? Sin can be like a cancer starting to form a tumor. Maybe we don’t feel it yet, but it’s there. Growing. The bigger it gets, that feeling of worthlessness leads us down the rabbit hole into a world we shouldn’t be visiting. Let’s all seek help when our mental state reaches the point where we give in to more sin.
