Beautiful attitudes. They are, however, not something to strive for. God is describing us in our current state and reminding us that these conditions we find ourselves in are responded to by God with His grace. Jesus was not giving us any legalism. He was telling the masses (us) that God will provide the resurrection power we need to be content with who we are.
