How do we do life again after the pandemic? We start gradually – and we don’t forget what we learned. We also need to grieve over missed events – missed graduations, not being able to visit relatives or friends in the hospital or prisons. We should make two lists: first, those things we want to do now that life is sort of resuming; second, a list of things we don’t want to do anymore. It’s a good time to rid ourselves of bad decisions. We should evaluate everything before we toss it or repeat it. We shouldn’t try to expect things to be normal for awhile yet. We need to proceed slowly. We need to do all these things because we’re not the same as we were. We may never be the same.
