The Open Hand

George Michael wrote a song called “Praying For Time” that begins with the words “These are the days of the open hand, they will not be the last, look around now, these are the days of the beggars and the choosers…” He goes on to say “Oh, you hold on to what you can, and charity is a coat you wear twice a year”…. In this world where wealthy celebrities declare themselves to be victims because they’re not loved by everyone – we have to reset our minds to what is important – not to us – but to God. We need to be grateful – and joyful – for what we do have and we need to share it with those who are genuinely in need. After all, we can’t take it with us, can we? Do yourself a favor today and go to wherever you listen to music and turn on “Praying For Time” by George Michael and listen to every word.
