I love Tracy Chapman’s song “Be Someone”. It captures the hopes and dreams of someone trying to find a new life. We can all be someone to our children, young relatives or friends. As a father, we can be the kind of man you would want your daughter to marry. As a mother, the kind of woman you want your son to marry. They are paying attention. They are watching how you act more than what you say. So let’s be careful to model who we want them to seek out for relationships.
