We’ve been cooped up for almost one year and it’s taking it’s toll. Depression, often leading to suicide is rampant. How do we maintain peace in our homes and workplaces? First, may I offer that we avoid discussing volatile matters. Opinions about important issues of the day differ widely. Emotions are running high about how to handle COVID and politics, not only here but around the globe. We should be more sensitive about the other person’s views since we don’t know what propels them. Anything you say will certainly offend at least one person who has a different view. When confronted, we need to be slow to anger and quick to apologize. Differences are not worth fighting over, except at the ballot box.
