Those of you with children will remember this declaration from your two-year-old child. Many of our problems as adults began with us claiming this new-found freedom. We all know where it has led us during our life of self-sufficiency – quickly to chaos. Our humility was destroyed by pride at an early age. We began to see how much power we had in our freedom. The problem was that God had a better plan but we didn’t find out until we were in real trouble. We were worshiping our abilities and we didn’t need God. We had to be completely lost before we even started looking for God.
