Satan hates us. He wants us dead. Life is a battle every day to have an impact on the world. We all want to have made a difference when our life is over. Our culture tells us to “do whatever feels good” – or, like the lyrics of the song, “I did it my way” – except we know we can’t, because we are not in control, even though we think we are. How do we achieve significance in our life? It starts with maturing in our minds and our faith in God. It’s not like older men wearing their baseball hats backwards, skateboarding home where they live in their parent’s home so they can be on time for their video game with their fellow gamers. They refuse to grow up. The same could be said for the way the culture grabs our young women with social media that controls their thoughts and emotions throughout the day, reminding them that they’re too fat, or too homely, or unfashionable, or whatever the pitch is for the day. We need to return to walk with our Lord and Savior seeking maturity in our relationship with God.
