We read weekly about the famous and influential having affairs with someone with whom they are not married. It’s no different for God who watches us be unfaithful with our faith. When we “seek the world, the flesh and the devil” our Father is heartbroken. They think they are operating in secret, but God knows our rising up and our lying down. The world entices us with sensationalism to make us want what they promise us…..but culture never delivers in the end, does it? So we try to satisfy both and we find out we can’t. We live in God’s Kingdom in the here and now. Let’s live like it and we will find the peace we seek…..and even more – we will find joy!
