The common symbol for love is a heart – all pink or red, like it has blood flowing through it. It is the obvious choice of most people to express love. That’s a good thing – because the heart is the key to our will. Good fruit can’t come out of a sick tree. Love is not something “you do” – it’s not a decision. But it comes from a decision…..a decision to pursue God’s love and to let that goodness fill your heart and direct your will as a result. We don’t just do loving things, as we become closer to God, we receive His love and this is where good fruit comes from. Then we naturally love from our heart.
