Finish that start of a sentence. It ends with…..”before the fall,” right? It’s one of the great Proverbs of the Bible. In my experience, the more pride I had, the more ego, the harder my fall. Crash! God can use a variety of ways to pull us back to reality. He can test your spirit, your heart. He can put obstacles in our way to slow down our reckless direction. He can create the crash – and, believe me, you don’t want that. He will warn us. If we miss the warning, He can judge us harshly and painfully. There are numerous examples of this in the Bible, both in the Old Testament and the New. When we finally remember that God is God and we’re not, He will allow our reason to return to our feeble brains.
