We are all mind (reasoning and will), body (feelings and health) and soul (wraps up everything mentioned). God created us, so what does He see when He looks at us in various circumstances? Well, He sees a sinner, because we all are. He sees someone He still loves, no matter what. Our difficulties come when we confuse how we feel with what our will should be. The mind is the scene of the crime. If we follow our emotions and let it overcome our ability to reason, then we’re heading for trouble. When we harbor bitterness toward another, we place ourselves in a sort of prison….and this is the punishment for our “crime” of letting the body take over our will. Until we learn to forgive another (and ourselves) we will not be released from prison.
