Thanks, God, For My Limitations!

If I could do anything, I would become prideful. I can’t do everything….not even close. God purposely gave us limitations. Why? To keep us from pride. Pride is the opposite of humility. Look back at the life and writings of Paul, the greatest of all apostles. When God put him through boot camp after blinding him to get his attention, Paul spoke only of God and His Holy Spirit. It was all about Jesus. Paul never lost faith – even when shipwrecked or in prison. He had give his life to God. Once, however, he did ask God to remove his physical affliction, but God had a better plan. Paul’s limitations forced him to be reminded that God is in control. Paul let God have His way with his life. His humility won over followers and captors. It built a spiritual maturity within Paul that allowed him to minister until he “fought the good fight,” and “finished the race.”
