Noah was 600 years old when God told him to build an ark according to very specific building instructions. It had never rained on earth before the flood because God provided natural ground mist all over the earth. Everyone thought Noah was crazy, but Noah obeyed The Lord. God only described that a great flood of water was coming. Imagine Noah and his family when water began descending from the sky! Noah believed God even when he didn’t understand. When Israel reached the Jordan across from Canaan, he instructed Moses to send a man from each tribe to spy on the land. All except Joshua and Caleb were too afraid of the Canaanites to recommend the invasion. After Moses died, Joshua was selected by God to send two spies into the land to determine what resistance could exist – and Rahab, a harlot, provided shelter and a way of escape for them, and the rest is history. The writer of Hebrews, wrote in Chapter 11:6, that “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” So, when we enter into prayer, we must pray to God believing that God will answer our prayer in some way – maybe not in the way we expect, but ultimately for our benefit and His Glory!
