When I walk out the door or into a gathering, I’m not always myself. I try to project an air of confidence, but I don’t always feel that way deep inside. Recent discouragements can alter my feelings more toward pain and yet we’re always supposed to be “up” and positive – right? In those times it’s important we seize the power that our faith gives us. Grace is power – but not from ourselves. This allows our heart to send out “good vibrations” rather than let our mind weaken our attitude. We have to move beyond our pain and our sin. We need to ask God to “show us our anxious thoughts.” In that way we can be ourselves – the people deep inside us. We are enough because Jesus’ power is more than enough for me.
