Influencers

The global public is constantly searching for its identity. The social media giants capitalize on this and clever people take advantage by promoting their versions of style – wanting to be all things to all people. Of course, there is nothing wrong with being someone who influences others – especially if that influence helps people become better human beings. Mostly we want to elevate and gratify ourselves. But that is the opposite of what God is hoping for in us. He wants humility. A humble person is one who understands and accepts their weaknesses and turns to God for teaching and strength. There is nothing wrong with wanting a life of significance. God wants that for us. Significance comes from being a servant, a true servant – not doing it for personal gain like the influencers do. Be a servant instead. No act of service is insignificant.
