I don’t either. But I’m learning to be more open to others views of me. When I played high school football I got used to coaches correcting me on the practice field because I knew it would make me a better player the next time I took my position. I’m trying to be a better person, so if someone important to me holds me accountable about something that I’ve done that was out of character in their estimation, I need to be more wiling to listen. I’m trying harder to be responsible for any consequences I’ve caused. I know it will help me reduce my shortcomings. Life is hard – so we all need to own up to our struggles. My coaches didn’t want to hear excuses – they wanted to see me follow their teaching. I played better and was a more positive influence to my team mates. Try the same approach with those closest to you!
