Solomon wrote that life was futile. It was like chasing after the wind. Solomon had lost his way and couldn’t figure out where the wind would go next. That’s because he was chasing after the wrong things. Originally, he asked God for wisdom. But he confused his own knowledge with wisdom from God. God gave us all freedom to chase our dreams. Dreams are weird, though, aren’t they? Think about the last dream you can remember. Crazy stuff, wasn’t it. That’s what lies ahead for us who think we run our own kingdom. Then pain is the first thing we encounter. A loss or an unfulfilled hope. When we were kids and were in pain we usually ran to our mom or another trusted friend. We’ve all suffered – and usually grown from it. So don’t run away from God when you’re in pain. Run to Him.
