When our desire failed to provide the expected result, we often try again with a different strategy. Instead, maybe we need to decide if the goal was a worthy one in the first place. Maybe it was just another one of our idols being exposed because we’re not content with what we have. We want what we want when we want it. After all, it’s our kingdom – right? Wrong. Our Creator has laid out the best path for us. When we ignore Him and go our own way, he’ll let us get lost until we cry out to him. He will always respond. Let’s all try to run a good race, being grateful for what we do have.
