Often I find that I compare myself to those around me that are richer, thinner and better-looking than me. Why do they have more than I do? Life’s not fair. But we have to keep moving ahead – so what do we do? We force ourselves to notice others with even less than we have. When we want to complain about aches and pains in our legs, notice the amputee from army service who has lost both legs. When I’m overweight and complaining about it I’m more aware of articles about starving people in Africa. We can switch our minds to see more and try to understand it. We need to compare our blessings – what we do have – to the rest of the world….the 99% that have less than us.
