It’s good to have goals, but too many can overwhelm us and delay doing anything meaningful. Let’s analyze goal-setting. First, who is the goal to benefit? In order to achieve the goal, what resources are required? What changes do I need to make internally to muster up the courage to strive? When obstacles get in the way, who do I turn to for help? When you break it down to it’s core, the honor, resources and power must come from God. It’s a dream with a deadline. It will require strength that I don’t entirely possess, but will result in spiritual growth – even if I don’t make it all the way. Along the road, don’t be afraid to ask family and friends for accountability and help.
