Everyone knows two constants…..death and taxes. A third should be added….trials we face – and not only the courtroom variety. There’s a fourth, too – God’s promises. They are guaranteed. Why am I a believer? Because He has answered every prayer I have ever prayed, from the simple to the complex. The harder ones take more time to understand His answer, but they always come. I always learn. We always tend to focus on the present time and circumstances. Thankfully, God sees the eternal and where my problem fits in to His training of me. All of this gives me more endurance to continue on in the face of constant trials. Instead of fear, it’s now easier for me to respond with faith, joy, understanding, acceptance and by seeking God’s wisdom instead of my own feelings.
