I’m a REALTOR and often carry a key for any property I am trying to sell – in case another agent loses the key from the lockbox. That way I don’t have to bother my clients. I just have another copy of the key made. There are two keys needed in some cases, one for the door handle and another for the deadbolt. You need two keys for entering God’s presence – one is faith and the other is humility. Being an arrogant, proud person is not in the image of Jesus – and that is why God created us in the first place…to more and more conform to the image of His Son. We will never reach that pinnacle, but more and more we look more like what God intended. Art lovers asked Michelangelo how he created the world’s greatest piece of art – the statue of David. He said, “I just kept chipping away anything that wasn’t David.” God is doing that daily in our lives – even in hard times; in fact, especially in those difficult times.
