Epicurus was a Greek philosopher who believed that man needed to not stress about life and death because death wasn’t painful, but merely the end of both the body and the soul. What’s to fear? He taught how to learn to find peace and freedom from pain. How did that work out? Today, more than half of the global population still believes that man is the center of the universe and can overcome any problem. We Christians know that peace only comes through God’s grace and love for us and by us not expecting all of our dreams to come true. Rather, we must seek God’s will for us – after all He created us for His purpose – to bring our unique perspective and skills into His family….and to receive His love and love Him back!
