A mentor is sort of a teacher to an apprentice. A mentor has more than just knowledge…they have wisdom. Wisdom comes from experience – and not without mistakes. It is one of the ways we learn. So we must begin to lead by following the teachings of those we respect. We start out as the apprentice. If you were lucky to have a mentor, you know what I mean. But what good is it to have all that wisdom later in life and not spread it around? It starts with learning, working and following orders.
