Summer is a peak time for anniversaries. As a married person we need to ask ourselves often, “do I tell my spouse often enough that I love them?” We can’t just express it once per year. It needs to be a regular offering from us. Am I genuinely concerned about my spouse’s goals and interests? Do I include them when considering a key decision? Do I thank them enough for what they contribute to the relationship? I need to express words of kindness and affection – and not just on our anniversary. Do I show affection for them when we are around others? Do I give her reason to be proud of me?
