Habits

We all have them. Some are good and some are bad. My bad habits tend to be developed in tough times; like those we’ve been going through the last couple of years. In good times I can more easily get rid of the bad habits. Usually, though, it’s when I can’t stand to look at myself being overweight or ornery. We change the present only when we can’t stand it any longer. When bad news comes I need to remember that God is eternal and the difficulty I’m having here is only temporary; painful, but temporary. My bad attitude usually comes from forgetting to be grateful for what I DO have. I also have to remember that He is the King and not me. I need to turn my kingdom over to Him. Tough times are used by Him to teach us to have more faith. What we learn from them is eternal.
