Just about everyone knows how to spell respect, thanks to Aretha Franklin! It’s a word that has great meaning for men, as well as women. In a recent study, three quarters of men felt unloved and disrespected when involved in strife in a relationship. Respondents said they would rather be left by themselves and even unloved vs. being thought of as inadequate or disrespected. The battle of the sexes is closely related to this: a woman tends to react with a lack of respect when feeling unloved. For a man it’s the opposite. Without respect, he will react without love.
