There really are people who think the world is basically good if the right government is in charge. “Defund The Police” they yell….as if they are the bad people. I’m not saying there aren’t some bad cops….but the vast, vast number are trying to provide law and order. Why hasn’t defunding the police worked? Because way too many people are sinful, evil people – and for a variety of reasons too numerous to mention here. The point is, government cannot bring about goodness and light. Only God can do that. In the meantime, we need our military and we need our police because of the bad actors in the world. Universities used to teach morality. No longer. What is taught is to promote only what matters to you. Special interests pay big money to try to create the kind of world they think they can make. It’s not happening….and it never will.
